|
Dear Reader,ECO Platform started very active in 2019. After a successful and important meeting in Stockholm and just before our General Assembly in May, we would like to inform you about the latest developments with this newsletter. We hope to see many of you in Brussels on May 14 and / or at one of the upcoming events.
ECO Platform Meeting in StockholmOur Board met in Stockholm on April 1 and 2 for preparing the General Assembly and some strategic issues in depth. Next to ISO and CEN developments and political developments, ECO Platform's role in a digital future was discussed. Since overlaps with the InData Group in developing a common digital format and offering solutions for the digital data exchange of EPD data are obvious, our Board Meeting was aligned with the InData Group meeting, which took place in the same location on April 2 and 3 to ensure a good mutual insight on the work of our initiatives as well as an effective exchange and alignment of activities to achieve common goals. The amendment of ECO Platform's strategy with regards to digital data exchange will be subject of our General Assembly on May 14 in Brussels.

Dr. Frank Werner is an expert in the field of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and EPDs with many-years of experiences:
Amendment to EN 15804 ready for final voteCEN/TC 350 will send the amendment of EN 15804 for formal vote in the coming weeks. After a positive final vote, a publication in summer is expected. The modifications of the standard concern mainly:

As in the last years, we invite all members for an open Board Meeting in the morning of the same day.
