Below you have access to the ECO Portal as a central access point to digital EPD data – free of charge and without registration.

January 2025: ECO Portal API User Information

The ECO Portal is not a database itself but serves as an access point to the data nodes of the ECO EPD Programme Operators. In a comprehensive examination of data validity, it was found that there are problems with the readability of a large proportion of the data made available via the ECO Portal. The affected ECO EPD Programme Operators have been requested to revise this data immediately, and the improvements are already underway.

Starting July 1, 2025, invalid data will no longer be accessible via the ECO Portal. To ensure this, automatic algorithms will be implemented to filter out such data. Additionally, several functional improvements to the ECO Portal will be introduced.

The quality of the data and the ECO Portal, as well as the comprehensibility of the API and professional support, are essential for making digital data usable for the purposes of API users. Until now, data has been provided free of charge. However, with the increasing volume of data and higher requirements for its usage, we will introduce fees for API use by profit-oriented users starting July 1, 2025, to further professionalize the ECO Portal. As part of this process, a re-registration with more detailed user information will be required, and the Terms and Conditions (T&C) will be updated accordingly.
